"Other Mommy" REVIEW

Jessica Chastain is the “other mommy”. 

When a little girl senses tension with her parents, what is she to do to feel love again. How about the “other” mommy?  The question is will that be enough to truly satisfy her every need and if not how can she make her go away for good.  

All in all, Chastain does an exceptional job in what is clearly one of her first horror genre films. Having to portray both “mommies” she does a great job of going back and forth seamlessly between both beings and nearly not realizing which character is the “real” mommy. 

Similarly the film stars a breakout actress, Arabella Olivia Clarke in her first feature length film and she as well has a certain charm for the horror genre even at such a young age. 

Finally the film wouldn’t be complete without Indiana Jones’ Karen Allen as the grandmother and Jay Duplass as daddo, both who add to every sense of horror element. 

other mommy came out in theaters October 9th and is currently playing in one near you. See it for a bit of terror for the spooky season.
