"Superman" REVIEW

The latest revival of one of the greatest superhero movies is making its debut this July. This time Superman brings his faithful dog Krypto with him as he nearly steals the screen from the red caped hero. The story picks up with Superman nearly being defeated by Lex Luther, but of course not giving up. He comes back stronger than ever even as he is joined by the other Justice League heroes to overcome Lex. The question is will they truly be able to conquer evil once and for all or will Lex Luther finally take control?

All in all, Superman features a lot of the same great moments as its predecessors including the love interest of Superman and Lois Lane as they work together to hide his true identity. With Comedy and action, Superman is everything one wants in a summer superhero movie.

The film stars Twisters' David Corenswet who ultimately has big shoes to step into as the iconic role of Superman. Overall, he does the character justice as he certainly has studied the past performances including Chris Reeve, who ultimately made Superman the hero he is today. That being said, Corensvet brings new light to Superman, giving him more of a humanistic approach to the alien inside.

Similarly Lois Lane (played by Rachel Brosnahan) also does a great job of stepping into equally big shoes to bring justice to the role. She does a fair job, especially with the professionalism and chemistry she has with Superman. Finally the movie wouldn't be complete without Nicholas Hault as Lex Luther, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and Bradley Cooper as Jor El.

There are also a couple fun easter eggs as the son of the original Superman makes a brief cameo as one of he reporters and for our Supergirl fans, rest assured, she also makes a comedic cameo with a hilarious scene with Krypto.

All in all, Superman is a film that will have you laughing and crying and on the edge of ones seat, though we all know the story of the hero, it's brings new lights to what it means to be a hero. Superman is currently playing in theaters near you.
