"Bride Hard" REVIEW

Secret Agent Sam is pledged with an impossible mission, that of bridesmaid for her childhood best friend or duty to her country of which she is sworn to secrecy. After bailing out on her best friend's bachelorette party and having the title of maid of honor stripped and given to another, Sam doesn't know how she can face her friend at her wedding. But her job lands her in the same area as the wedding as she is told to "take a break", but that break ends up proving the inevitable, that Sam is never truly "off" and sometimes it's up to her alone to save the day and her friend's wedding.

Bride Hard reunites Pitch Perfect stars Rebel Wilson and Anna Camp in what seems like a non sequel, sequel. In a word, it's Bridesmaids meets Die Hard as it has a lot of the same slapstick comedy, while combining action and adventure along the way. Additionally the film also stars The Hangover's Da'Vine Joy Randolph and My Girl's Anna Chlumsky who do an exceptional job of portraying the infamous bride tribe that no one ought to mess with. Add The Rookie's Gigi Zumbado to round out the tribe and one will say they are truly unstoppable.

All in all, Bride Hard is most definitely your typical "guilty pleasure" film with a bit of depth to it. More so than other films that Wilson is known for starring in, this one can definitely be watched while not knowing exactly how it will turn out. That being said, it is totally one to take your girl friends to for a fun time out as some of the humor is clearly geared toward more of a feminine audience. The film came out in theaters June 20th and is currently playing in one near you.
