"It Ends" REVIEW

When 4 friends voyage on the road for a late night food run, what is left is utter insanity as the road seems to never end and keep going on for what seems like forever. Now the friends have a decision to make either to to out of the car and try to find an escape path on their own or continue it to what seems to be and insanely impossible mission.

Ultimately, It Ends seems to be a continuation of Backrooms only in a forest setting as it is directed by the same person and uses the same spooky musical composition to truly set the mood to the insanity. Additonally, like Backrooms, the sotry is done episodically as we explore each of the four characters to learn more about how each one came into this situation and ultimately their unforeseen fate on the long and winding road ahead,

The film does star spot on acting by Mitchell Cole as Tyler, Akira Jackson as Day, Phinehas Yoon as James and Noah Toth as Fisher along with unknown extras who do a fantastic job of creating the horror in the woods when the friends are most afraid. The small cast hieghtens the fear in ways that will cause you to sit up and take notice as you never no what is to happen next.

The only critique is the ending which leaves it very open ended as to what is to happen next, with no resolution as to will they find their wy out or be destined to keep driving.

All in all, It Ends is a suspenseful movie for anyone who loves getting caught in a maze of adventure with no way out. It could have been a bit flushed out especially at the end, but it leaves it open to interpretation and potentially a sequel film.
