"Magic Faraway Tree" REVIEW

Most children grow up and forget about the magic except one. It is that magic that fuels Tim’s journey back to his home town with his family on a mission to grow Tomatoes and have the best tomato sauce in the country. Only one problem, but it’s one that is friends in the magic faraway tree can instantly help in bringing together. After all life is better with a family.
Based on the English tale by Enid Blyton will truly take audiences into the imagination of the author as children young and old will ravel over the imagery and colors displayed on the big screen. Additionally older crowds will get a unique charge especially watching as the realism of adult Timothy instantly reminds of what one might be conquering in their own life.
In a word, it resembles another Secret Garden meets Wizard of Oz tale with an English twist.
The film stars The Amazing Spider-Man’s Andrew Garfield in a role that surprisingly is made for him. Garfield instantly steps into the role and embraces all levels of creativity in ways that audiences will instantly jump into action with. His chemistry with Claire Foy is a bit awkward in a silly way that makes it even more memorable. Finally Mission Impossible’s Rebecca Ferguson as well as Nonso Anozie, Judi Dench and Nicola Coughlan have an equally magic touch at creating the marvelous worlds above the “faraway tree”. Lastly the kids, (played by Phoenix Laroche, Billie Gadsdon and Delilah Bennett-Cardy all do a awesome job even in the musical touch of the family song that will instantly bring a smile to your face and a tear to your eye.
Ultimately It’s a film that needs to be seen in the theaters before they decide to take it out for good. A clean whole hearted movie for the whole family to bring everyone together for a splendid good time. See it in a theater near you.
