The latest biopic about famed Motown pop singer and the King of Pop Michael Jackson is being fans young and old to watch early before its official release on the 24th of April.   The film follows the rise of Michael from a child singing with his brothers as the Jackson 5 leading up to his final breakaway and solo career that took new measures in the 80’s. It’s done both through archival video Footage and live action performances as his nephew Jaafar Jackson who truly embodied all of what made Michael such a powerful influencer. It’s ultimately quite difficult to see where Michael ends and Jaafar takes over, that’s how skilled of editing and acting the film is.

Similarly the film also stars Coleman Domingo as the Jackson's father and manager and he does an equally exceptional job of portraying what tyrant their father truly was, though everything he did for them was for “love” and “success”. Coleman’s acting is so well done as he did in the prison film Sing Sing, he carries the same strength and determination as Joseph Jackson. Finally one will instantly recognize a few familiar faces as Miles Teller plays on of his managers during his breakout career move as well as Mike Myers as another businessman in Michael’s career.

All in all, Michael is truly another concert on the big screen as it merges music videos with actually story in a way that audiences will see the dedicated sympathetic man behind the king of pop. We also get a glimpse in to the story behind Neverland which  Michael ultimately named his home after even to this day after his tragic death.

Fans and music lovers alike ought not to miss this awe inspiring movie currently playing in a theater near you.
