Three childhood friends attempt to reconnect for a birthday celebration by booking an exotic Spa Weekend, but things are bound to go wrong when the fourth "friend" is added to the mix. It's that one friend that we all have in our lives, "the one we love to hate for the drama that they bring". However its that one friend that we all must admit brings excitement and chaos to the drab lifes that we all live as the film shows deep down, true friends would do anything for each other no matter the consequences.

All in All, Spa Weekend is ultimately another version of "Book Club" meets Bridemaids as its a happy "what's next" sequelish film that merges the two concepts of women who are clearly not young, but not yet ready to give up on silly excursions. It's ultimately a play on the "one last ride" kick where anything could happen as the one "unwanted" friend ends up helping the other three sort through the root of their unhappiness at home.

The clearly all women comedy stars a stellar cast including "uptight" Leslie Mann, "Anger driven" Michelle Buteau, "Loyal" Anna Faris and "Wild Child" Isla Fisher, all of whom totally bring their A game to the script as it will have audiences laughing their heads off at the mor mature jokes that are totally out of place for women of their age. It only goes to show age is just a number in this day and all that really matters is the friendship that we all hold deep in our hearts.

That being said, a word of caution as Spa Weekend comes out August 22 and with a R rating, might not be suitable for the young or young at heart. That being said, there is no full nude scenes as mostly the woman are in bikini's and bathing sutits as tt does take place at an Australian Spa resort, The real crude nature is the explicit sexual humor and language throughout which might be too much. That being said, the story at the heart of it is simple and true, the power of true friendship that truly stands the test of time.

Spa Weekend is currently playing at a theater near you. It's the perfect movie to see with long lost friends and catch up on time missed.
