When a mute man’s daughter is the next victim in a string of children kidnappings, he will stop at nothing to get her back. What he doesn’t realize is it’s more than just a rescue of his daughter but nearly all the missing children.  But to do that he’s going to need a lot more help especially as the police force are being controlled by a rather crooked cop.

In a sense, The Furious is essentially Taken meets a very rough version of Sound of Freedom and Mortal Kombat, as it shows how far a father is willing to go for his child.

The film, takes place “somewhere in Mideast Asia” and stars an entirely Chinese cast as the dialogue seamlessly goes from Chinese to English in each heart wrenching scene.

It stars a stellar cast including Mortal Kombat’s Joe Taslim as the mute father who though he has no words still manages to convey everything needed to convey on screen while also showing off his Kung Fu punch. Equally the film also stars Blade of Fury’s Miao Xie as well as young Enyou Yang as the girl who clearly has a good level of fighting skills even at her young age.

all in all, The Furious will certainly have you on the edge of your seats, fully engaged in truly what will happen next. It’s a film that clearly packs a lot of punch into its hour 53 minute runtime. It came out in theaters to a Thursday night crowd on  June 11th and is currently playing in one near you.
