The latest retelling of Emily Bronte’s beloved novel is sending chills down people’s spines. Ultimately the chemistry between the actors is enough to be reaching for a glass of cold water with the steaming scenes.

Wuthering Heights stars Margot Robbie, Jacob Elordi and Shazad Latif in what is seemingly an interesting love triangle. The triangle takes a unique turn as it faces a balance in social issues especially during that specific time period and what it takes to be a woman in society.  Even born into that social class doesn’t always count when the father squanders your diry and you are forced to marryin order to achieve greatness.

The epic romance goes even deeper as we see the root of it as Cathy and Heathcliff are introduced as children that her father rescues. Charlotte Mellington and Owen Cooper do an equally exceptional job mirroring that chemistry that Robbie and Elordi continue in later years.

All in all, Wuthering Heights exceeds expectations with storyline taken very closely from the original manuscript. Also one can not fail to mention the moving soundtrack performed by Charli xcx that exquisitely captures every momentous occasion even leading up to the inevitable tragedy at the end. It’s enough to leave you griping your chest and wiping tears away as you walk out of the theater.

The film came out theaters Valentine’s Day weekend and is a perfect date night to share with your love especially if either is into the literary genre.
