All animals are created equal
In a word it’s the next story to open people’s eyes to the danger of living in a socialist world. Yes it looks all fun to live in this society but what people don’t know is there are evil powers controlling the universe.
George Orville’s classic story, Animal Farm uses the power or words through the eyes of animals who otherwise have no voice as he brings controversial issues to the scene. angel studio who adapted the story does an exceptional job of keeping things pg while delving into the deeper issues that Orwell delves into.
The film does star a stellar voice talent including Seth Rogan and Glenn Close who most definitely portrayed the evil that comes from the socialist society, and they did it with such grace and ease, similar to other villianish roles that they are both known for.
Additionally, the cast also includes Gaten Matarazzo as Lucky, Steve Buscemi as Mr. Whymper, Kieran Culkin as Squealer, Woody Harrelson as Boxer and Jim Parsons as Carl, all of who did a exceptional job of fighting the important issues.
Animal Farm came out in theaters May 1 and does a good job of portraying a classic novel that has been on the reading list for years. Though Angel Studios did take a few liberties in the ending of the film, the heart of the story is still there as a warning for all. It’s currently playing in a theater near you and is highly recommended for those who long to watch something with a far deeper meaning if one can get past the child like animation.
