Steven Spielberg brings "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" to the screen using his own childhood dreams to help audiences truly understand the mystery of the universe and the concept that we are not alone in Disclosure Day. This time it centers on the"third kind" as the victims when a government coverup seeks to hide the truth by enlisting those who can understand. Now those special individuals must make the decision, to go along with the coverup or "full disclosure" to the whole world. It helps that one of those individuals is in fact a meteorologist.

Disclosure Day is a film that explores all that and more. It stars The Devil Wears Prada's Emily Blunt who does an exceptional job portraying the on camera meteorologist, who can instantly understand various languages including Russian, Chinese and yes even the third kind type of language and she does it without blinking an eye. Similarly the second half to those who can understand is played by Challengers' Josh O'Conner who has that unique sense of hush cover up that he plays off as a need to know basis only.

Additionally, the film costars Colin Firth as the head of government intelligence as well as Michael's Coleman Domingo, Thunderbolts Wyatt Russell and Eve Hewson, all of which bring their best to deliver what is hopeful to receive some sort of award recognition.

As a whole the film combines unique imagery, especially with the use of nature to showcase the heart of the film as well as a not so subtle nodd to a certain Disney film as the two likely people that understand everything must go back to their childhood to discover how to truly survive and be brave enough to tell the world what is really going on.

Disclosure Day came out in theaters June 12 and is currently playing in one near you. Any Spielberg fan will truly marvel over yet another original work of art that for sure takes a few risks coming out in a action packed summer filled movies that are coming out at the box office. Did he succeed in satisfying audiences? I'll let you be the final judge for this epic blockbuster.
