It’s a battle of man versus machines in the apocalyptical action comedy. When AI threatens all humanity it’s up to one man to go back again and again and find a group of random civilians to save the day. The question is, is it all random or strategically planned.

When he happens upon a group of strangers in a downtown LA Norms restaurant, half scaring the you know what about of them but they all seem to instantly know what he is talking about. All have been damaged by AI in one way or another:  a grieving mother, two lovesick teachers, a “princess” with a secret and an uber driver. Now it’s up to them to save the world or at least die trying. Essentially it’s another Ground Hog Day only with a bit more raunchy unhinged humor that will cause audiences to bust up laughing as long as they don’t throw up first.

That being said, it’s not for the faint at heart however behind the crude humor is a heartfelt story at the core.

The film stars Sam Rockwell who definitely holds nothing back to his comedy. He is joined by Haley Lu Richardson, Juno Temple, Michael Pena and Zazie Beetz, all of whom do a great job of bringing humor in the midst of horror.   The entire cast has a certain knack that instantly makes audiences invested in the outcome as we root for them in the long run to “not die”.

At 2 hour 14 minute runtime it’s a film that is truly meant to make fun of in the theater. Stupid comedy that can only be done on the big screen and the perfect cast to do it. Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die came out in theaters February 13 and is currently playing in one near you. So GOOD LUCK! HAVE FUN! DON’T DIE!
