Frank Drebin is unconventional in the way he acts as a Lieutenant. Trying to follow in the shadow of his father and late wife is a harder job than one can imagine and it’s that reputation that is putting Police Squad in the cross fires of being shutdown for good.

When Drebin is taken off the bank robbery  and forced to do traffic assignments, his first job has a similar nature to his last robbery. And the daughter of the deceased seeks Frank out determined to prove her father’s death was more than just suicide.

All in all, The Naked Gun is truly a crime drama gone almost intentionally wrong. Made to be a true comedy, the film will have audiences struggling to hold down their soda pop.

The film stars Liam Neeson who is no stranger to the action film and does exceptionally well conquering the comedy realm. That being said the film does have some vulgar and adult themed jokes that might be a little much for young children, though the rating is PG 13.

Additionally Pamela Anderson adds her own comedic charm and even has a slight Baywatch nod at the end that fans will find hilarious.

Finally the film stars Fantastic Four’s Paul Walter Howard and Wonder Woman’s Danny Huston to round out the comedy over all.

The Naked Gun came out in theaters August 1 and is currently playing in one near you. See if for a crime loving hilarious good time. Just viewer beware as there are a few crude jokes that may make sensitive ears rather uncomfortable.
